Final -ed Verbs with /t/ Sound These sheets contain regular past tense ed verbs ending with /t/ (as opposed to /d/ or /ed). I find that many pre-packaged resources do not distinguish from these three different ending types, from a sound perspective. The pictures contain the word form and can be used by both non-readers and readers in the following ways: for mass practice, duplicated and used for games like memory and bingo, or as part of a sentence-building exercise once working on generalisation and absorption into natural speech. Same/Different Game a same-different game board that is designed to address vocabulary, describing similarities/differences/attributes/functions. This activity can be used with individuals grade 1 to 3, but can really be adapted to the older grades - very versatile. The picture cards are used as a visual aid, if necessary, or can be used to put on the game board once the child has described how the two words are same and different. Do not cut apart the pieces on the main game board (with just the words), only cut out the picture pieces. If playing in a group, have a game board and pieces for each. Laminate all and enjoy!
