Preschool Page
SLPs and teachers who work in Preschool and Early Intervention programs share many of the same needs as their school-age counterparts. However, they also have concerns that are very specific to very young children, many of whom may be newly identified as having special needs. For that reason, this page and message board was created on Aug 8, 2008.
By clicking below, you will have access to a message board on which you can post all types of tips, questions, and advice pertaining to Preschool and Early Intervention caseloads.
Remember that many of the other message boards on this site already have message threads for preschool/EI. Use the "Search" field on each of those boards to access messages that contain "preschool," "early intervention, "EI," and other related key words.
Because many materials for preschool can also be used by elementary special education programs, they are not broken out into a separate section on the Materials Exchange page. Preschool/EI educators should look under the various topics listed on the Materials Exchange page (such as AAC, Cooking, Thematic Units) for materials to use "as is" or adapt for their young students.
